Arseweb is at a loss to understand why Arsenal's official website has done a deal with former dot-com darling Lastminute.com to sell tickets to Highbury.
The tie-up with Granada Broadband, who won the rights to run the Arsenal site, also involves Liverpool and ITV's football and Formula 1 properties. 'Sports fans will be able to gain behind-the-scenes access to major sporting occasions and hospitality packages for events such as the British Grand Prix and last available tickets to selected games and events,' says Ananova.
We'd love to know just how many 'last minute' tickets are ever available for Highbury. We can only remember a tiny handful of games last year which were not 37,000+ 'sell outs'. |
