The BBC will be showing our FA Cup tie against Liverpool
on Jan 27th as planned. But they've had to make it a lunchtime
kick-off, because of
police objections.
The telly people had been hoping to put the game in their
regular 7pm slot, but the Police rejected their appeal (all
the hype about trouble at matches this week won't have helped). it'll be 1pm instead.
That's not
so bad for the Beeb, as it happens. The match now clashes with
the 2 other games scheduled for that day: Cheltenham v Burnley and Tranmere v Cardiff. Sky have yet to choose which of those 2 games to show.
