First entry for your diaries for next season: Rangers have announced that they will play Arsenal in a pre-season friendly.
Ah well, we at Arseweb suppose clubs like this have to offer the fans some glamour away from the increasingly tedious two-horse race of the domestic championship. (Can you see where this is going?) And so do Rangers. (Boom boom!)
The game will be at Ibrox on 5 August, unless Rangers manage to blow their substantial lead in the Premier League. (And no self-respecting team would do that, would they?) If so - and bearing in mind Celtic's all too convenient 4-0 win tonight, it's perfectly possible - the game will be moved to 2 August, to let the Gers play in a Champions League qualifier.
We'd give you a link to the story on the Rangers website, but it's only for registered Bluenoses. |
