Further to yesterday's story, expressing the usual concern at Carlton's decision not to buck the national trend by showing the Arsenal game when national ITV are showing another...
We are pleased to be able to tell you that today we received an email reply from the duty office at Carlton, confirming what they told an ArseWeb reader on the phone yesterday: that they will be covering Arsenal-Valencia instead of Leeds-Deportivo on April 4th.
As further proof, the
Carlton listing for that day, from Carlton's own website, has today been changed to that effect. It took a quarter-final appearance to do it, but at last Carlton are doing the right thing by Londoners.
We cannot say what other ITV regions are doing, it is possible but unlikely that some of them will also choose to show Arsenal.
The ITV football site may be able to shed some light (they too are now listing Carlton as showing the Arsenal game), or the website for
your regional station.
(update) It looks like the West Country is the only other region to go with Carlton on this one. If we hear anything more
we'll put it on the preview page.
