Arsenal buying field in Barnet by Rupe
on 23/4/99 at 12:39
this is story 13 of 75 in this topic to date
Eagle-eyed correspondent Joe Weiss found the following
information on the Camden Borough web site (go to their
search page and look for "Arsenal").

Bow Lane Playing Field, N12
Ex-playing field in Barnet in the process of being sold by
Camden Council to Arsenal Football Club.

It is a significantly large site next to Finchley Memorial
Hospital (as big as the plot that Highbury stands on, but
without the surrounding houses/nimbys), and reasonably
well-connected too.

Apparently Arsenal are saying it's for a training ground and
while we're inclined to believe them, it does seem a bit large
and expensive for that.
