Arsenal's revised stadium plans have won over the influential Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, which was initially very critical of the proposals.
Quoted in the Evening Standard, a letter from CABE to Arsenal apparently told the club: 'The present scheme is far more convincing in the way it relates to its site and surroundings. We consider this to be an intelligent plan that will transform this difficult brownfield site.'
The paper reckons it's because Arsenal's revised plans are 'less exclusive'. More here. |
