It looks as if the new stadium at Ashburton Grove has passed its final hurdle, and will indeed be Arsenal's new home in two years' time.
Local residents had made a legal challenge against the Islington Council decision to grant planning permission, but Sky News reports that the judge in the case said that 'most of the points raised are unarguable.'
A statement on Arsenal.com from Ken Friar says: 'We are delighted with this outcome. It does not come as a surprise, since we knew our proposals were sound, our planning application was of the highest quality, and that the Council's handling of the application was exemplary.' |
