Just a note to note our glorious leader's latest appearance in the 'Arsenal-hating press'. The Evening Standard, referring to the debenture scheme highlighted here earlier in the week, quoted one Rupert Ward of Arseweb.
'Paying £3,500 for the right to buy a season ticket for three or four seasons seems absurdly steep,' says Mr Ward. 'The announcement says something about the possibility of additional benefits such as priority choice of seating at the new stadium, but it's all extremely vague.
'It seems to me that the nature of these additional benefits will determine whether or not the deal is worth it. But there will probably be some rich people who will deem it worthwhile to pay up just to be able to jump the queue for season tickets.'
(And on the subject of media appearances - thanks again to Arseweb cheerleader and occasional newspaper editor Piers Morgan for another 'my favourite website' mention in the Guardian a month or so back. But we're bored of print tributes Piers... next time, give us a mention on telly!) |
