Patrick Wakeham of the Arsenal mailing list noticed this item in the Independent's Sunday edition business pages: Arsenal are planning to buy near King's Cross as their preferred alternative to remaining at Highbury, according to consultants advising the club on a possible move. Any purchase and announcement will be delayed until 2000, which means that were this to come off the first matches there would likely be sometime in 2002.
