Liverpool (1) 2 - 0 (0) Arsenal
Anfield, Saturday 28th August 1999
FA Carling Premiership
Sorry this is late (Bank Holiday weekend, y'know),
but here is
our report (more to come) and list of links to other
sites' reports (if you find a good one that's not there
please send us the URL).
A very disappointing result of course. But look at it this way,
if the pattern of this season follows that of the previous
ones, then the earlier we have our slump the earlier we
start on our unbeaten run!
We're gonna need one too. Man Utd are already dominating.
The old "Ruud Gullit's gone, hooray!" factor at Newcastle
wasn't enough to prevent a 5-1 defeat, including 4 goals
from their old boy (and ours) Andy Cole.
we can only hope the team comes back reasonably unscathed from
the break for Internationals, because the next match won't
be easy either - at home to Villa on the 11th. |
