Seaman and Petit are both still out, though Wenger is quoted as saying
both will be ready to start training soon and he expects them to be
close to full fitness though not ready to play in the Barcelona game in
2 weeks. Otherwise there appear to be no other fitness worries. There is
speculation over whether anyone will be rested, in particular Bergkamp
and perhaps Adams or Keown, but that's all it is - speculation. If Adams
plays he makes his 450th league appearance, not 500th as reported on Sky. Never trust them, I say.
Southampton apparently have illness problems, with Pahars, Benali and
Soltvedt all apparently suffering with a virus, though all played in the
WC game at Maine Rd on Weds. Ripley is definitely out with a knee
injury, Le Tissier is not expected to be risked after recovering from an
achilles injury and Davies is doubtful with an ankle problem. Boa Morte
is likely to recover from a hamstring problem and could face his old
club.
