Leicester (0) 0 - 3 (1) Arsenal
Filbert St, Saturday 4th December 1999 (11.30am!)
FA Carling Premiership
A great performance by an Arsenal team missing several
stars proved too much for Leicster who, until this morning,
had an unbeaten home record this season (and had won their
last 6 at Filbert Street).
The first 2 were scored by defenders: Grimandi from a corner
and then Dixon bundling over a Henry cross. Overmars, playing
on the right and causing problems all afternoon, scored the
3rd after being set up by Stephen Hughes (on his return to the
Premiership).
Thanks to the early kick-off, Arsenal briefly went top of the table on GD.
Man Utd thrashed Everton later, and Leeds are at
Derby tomorrow.
