Arsenal (0) 1 - 1 (1) Wimbledon
Highbury, Saturday 18th December 1999
FA Carling Premiership
Wimbledon were gifted a goal very early on when Carl Cort
was allowed to get to Marcus Gayle's low cross unchallenged,
and divert it through Manninger's legs.
As has been the case so often recently, Arsenal went on to
dominate the game, but just couldn't put the ball away.
Eventually Henry equalised from a Silvinho cross, but we
squandered many chances for the win.
Once again Gilles Grimandi was probably our best player,
moving back this time to deputise for Adams. If we ever
have everyone fit again, how is Wenger going to leave him
out?
Arsenal have dropped to fourth in the table, having
played a game more than front-runners Manchester and Leeds
United, who we will face in crucial matches in 2 of our next 5 league fixtures.
