Sheffield Wednesday bowed out of the Premiership in style, giving Arsenal a bit of a scare as they went. Lee Dixon opened the scoring - careful Lee, those 'first scorer' odds are going to come way down if you're not careful! - to give us a 1-0 half-time lead.
Wednesday then conjured up three goals in only 12 minutes - subs Sibon and de Bilde, and Quinn giving the Owls a shock 3-1 lead. Silvinho whacked one from 25 yards to put us back in the game, then - surprise, surprise - Thierry Henry scored an equaliser with 10 minutes to go.
That's a record-breaking 7th consecutive Premiership game that he's scored in. If you count Cup and international games, he's scored in 15 of his 23 games this year. Wow.
Wednesday must love us. We embarrass them in two Cup finals in the same year, then kick them out of the top flight. Sorry lads. |
