Chelsea preview: let battle commence by Rupe

After all the hype following the England-France game, we're expecting a calm, well-disciplined match tonight. Ahem.

Arsenal will definitely be missing Tony Adams. Gilles Grimandi is doubtful but would probably be used in midfield if available since Vieira starts his 5 match suspension, alongside Parlour who contrary to what I said earlier is fit. Luzhny is expected to deputise for Adams. Stepanovs is not in the squad and is expected to get his debut in the Bradford game.

Chelsea skipper Dennis Wise is in their squad despite the sligth injury picked up on Saturday, but Ed de Goey and Mario Stanic both miss out. Bogarde won't gethis debut yet because he's recovering from a minor injury, Melchiot is in a similar possition but might make the bench. Le Saux and Ferrer are both in the squad for the first time this season.

Sylvain Wiltord is in the Arsenal squad as is Kanu, but my bet would be on Bergkamp and Henry starting up front. Today's big question for both managers, as it will be all season, is which 2 of their 4 world-class strikers to play. See match preview page for more.
