They started the game level on points, they finished the game with their bushy little tails between their legs.
Arsenal bounced back from the all-too-familiar humbling defeat at Anfield, by thrashing Leicester 6-1 in a Boxing Day thriller... tainted only by the news that ManU had managed to find a late winner at Villa Park.
Thierry Henry snatched the headlines - well, the headlines that didn't draw a politically incorrect link between foxes and Boxing Day hunting - but the biggest smile of the day was on the face of one Tony Adams... banging the sixth into the roof of Timmy Flowers's net as he lunged to get on the end of Henry's cross. (Vieira and Ljungberg got the other two.)
It still leaves us second by 8 points, but the margin of victory surely shows that if the Premiership is fragmenting - as the pundits would have us believe, the dividing line is between second and third. ManU - you are not in a league all of your own.
