Leicester City (0) 0 - 0 (0) Arsenal
Filbert St, Saturday 19th January 2001
FA Carling Premiership
More points disappointingly dropped away from home,
against a team determined to make up for their
Boxing Day stuffing.
Matthew Jones was sent off shortly before half time
for a second yellow card (for a second awful challenge).
They lost Muzzy Izzet too, stretchered off after a clash with Lee Dixon which looked innocuous.
Arsenal missed a few good chances, but Leicester had far fewer. There was a scare late on when Sturridge was held back by Silvinho. The Arsenal player was probably lucky not to
get more than a booking himself.
Edu made his debut as a half time sub, but had to come off
after 20 minutes, limping.
