Chelsea (1) 1 - 1 (1) Arsenal
Stamford Bridge, Saturday 8th September 2001
FA Barclaycard Premiership
Arsenal should have made more of their dominance
in the first half hour of the game, but all we had to
show for it was a Henry goal on 17 minutes, created by
Robert Pires (continuing his great start to the season).
Against the run of play, Zola won a possibly dodgy
penalty on 30 minutes which Hasslebaink scored, and
from then on Chelsea had much more of the game.
Hasslebaink got himself sent off for elbowing Arsenal,
and Kanu came on to try to recapture his late heroics
of 2 years ago. He came close a couple of times as
Arsenal tried to push home the numerical advantage,
but in the end we had to settle for the draw.
