Skipper Tony Adams is fully fit now, but may be left out today (Arsenal.com say a late decision will be made) with the big games on Wednesday and Saturday in mind (and bearing in mind that last time, he came back and got himself injured again in his first first team outing).

Thierry serves the second match (and the only Premiership one) of his 3 match suspension.

Villa have doubts over Angel (toe injury) and J Lloyd Samuel (thigh). Lee Hendrie could return after a rest which, unusually, was granted by manager Graham Taylor at the player's request.

The teams are on the pitch. The only surprise is that Wenger has opted for the more attacking option with Edu alongside Patrick Vieira in the centre of midfield instead of Gilles Grimandi. Reward for his crucial goal at St James's Park, perhaps.
