Tony Adams will miss tonight's match with a knee injury.
This could be worse, at least we have a ready-made replacement
in Martin Keown (in fact, one of Tone or Sol could well have
been "rotated" out anyway).
Although the Arsenal.com preview suggests (as we did yesterday) that Wiltord would step in alongside Bergkamp
up front, some sources (see eg Evening Standard) reckon that
Dennis is to be rested for Kanu.
This will cause some doubts in the minds of Arsenal fans.
Kanu has not been at his best this season, whereas Bergkamp
has been on fire, and his linking up with Freddie Ljungberg
has been crucial in recent league wins. But Kanu is thought
by many to be a front-runner for a move away from Highbury
this summer, so presumably he'll be particularly keen to
impress if he does get to play again this season.
Incidentally, if we win the league Adams will get a medal,
having now played in the requisite 10 games. Players who would
miss out as things stand include Lee Dixon and Stuart Taylor.
It would be a particular shame for these 2, as there's no guarantee that they'll be playing at all next season. In the
past special dispensation has been granted to players
without sufficient games, but there's no indication as yet
that Arsenal would be applying for this.

Many thanks to everyone who wrote to correct the above. Apparently Dixon has now played in enough games to
get a medal.
Also, later bulletins suggest that Bergkamp's absence would be due to a heel injury. Which is a relief because a fit Dennis being rested, with Henry out too, would surely suggest that Wenger was going as batty as Alex F**kuson.
