Arsenal doubts for West Ham game by Rupe

The official Arsenal site says that 3 big-name players are doubtful for the trip to the Boleyn Ground on Saturday.

Bergkamp has yet to recover from the calf problem which he picked up half way through the first half on Sunday. It appeared to have happened as he was fouled while passing the ball square to Wiltord fromn the centre circle. The perpetrator was booked, but only after Wiltord had run to the edge of the box and scored.

Wiltord himself is also struggling to make the West Ham game. An ankle injury (also leading to his substitution on Sunday) forced him out of the France game against Tunisia last night.

And Gilberto, who came on for Bergkamp on Sunday, may be rested since he will not get back from playing for Brasil against Paraguay (a 1-0 loss) until Friday.

Wenger rates Wiltord as least likely, with only 20% chance of playing.

Some sources reckon Jeffers will be in the squad for Saturday, having come through the reserve match last night. But the player himself says he's only 60 to 70% fit and needs more reserve games. It's also worth noting that Aliadiere not only played in the same reserve match, but also scored. Having looked lively when he came on on Sunday it's very possible that he will be preferred anyway, until Wenger is sure of Jeffers' fitness.

West Ham are likely to have Kanoute back and partnering Defoe up front. Paolo Di Canio is still injured.
