Thierry Henry could be in hot water with FIFA for revealing a congratulatory message to his friend Sharleen Spiteri (who is the lead singer of Texas and has just had a "Kyd") on his T-shirt after scoring in last night's game against Manchester City.
TH has made a habit of revealing T-shirt messages to friends and family over the last couple of seasons, but FIFA outlawed such celebrations before the current season kicked off and could now demand that the FA fine the Arsenal striker.
Meanwhile Kevin Keegan could also find himself in trouble after he called the linesman involved in Ali Benarbia's dismissal: "So biased it was frightening". He failed to mention the fact that the linesman on the other side of the pitch made several poor decisions in City's favour.

According to the Barclaycard Premiership website, the FA have said that
they are not going to bring any charges to bear on Thierry.
Instead he will receive a letter reminding him of the
new regulations. An FA spokesman is quoted as saying,
"Clearly, this was intended as a goodwill gesture towards the new-born baby and we accept that. However, it is a breach of the international board regulations and we therefore feel the need to remind him of those regulations."
So, big sighs of relief all round. Some hacks were predicting
not just a fine but a possible ban too! Let's be grateful it wasn't Vieira.... |
