More bad news for 19 of the 20 teams in this season's Premiership.... Freddie Ljungberg appears to be back.
He played 70 minutes of a 3-0 win over Reading reserves at
the Arsenal training pitch today, and showed no signs of injury.
But despite reports that he could be in the team for the visit of
Borussia Dortmund next Tuesday, Freddie himself says (in this interview from the official site) he's aiming for the Bolton game at Highbury the following Saturday.
See BBC Sport report, where they have quotes from
a Reading midfielder who appears to be an expert on Arsene Wenger's thought processes.... "Llungberg looked fit and strong and Arsenal expect him to be back in a couple of weeks.
He probably needs a couple more games to get him sharper but he was very energetic."
Freddie missed a one-on-one chance against Reading keeper Phil Whitehead. The goals that were scored came from Steven Sidwell,
Juan (from the spot), and the opener was by new boy Pascal Cygan.
Jeffers played too, and will soon be fully ready to get injured again.
