Some Gunner's gonna miss out against Foxes by Rupe

Arsenal have a near-full squad for the season finale. Only Pascal Cygan and Stuart Taylor are injured.

Predictably, however, Arsene Wenger is today using the players who have done most to win the league. So the likes of Wiltord, Clichy, Kanu, and Aliadiere are omitted (the last 2 having recently been given the appearances they needed to guarantee a medal).

The exception is Martin Keown, who hasn't figured much but as a result needs this appearance for his medal. Since it is also his last game for the club it is likely that, if things are going ok, he'll be brought on earlier than the last minute.

Since Bergkamp is going to be staying for another year, it's possible that Reyes will be given the start alongside Henry. But someone's going to have to miss out. If Wenger starts with Lehmann, Lauren, Toure, Campbell, Cole, Ljungberg, Vieira, Gilberto, Pires, Reyes, and Henry, then there will be Dennis, Edu, Parlour, and Keown all hoping to come off the bench at some point and all with a strong case.

Leicester will be wanting to put up a good fight as they say goodbye to the Premiership. But they have considerable injury problems, with Les Ferdinand and Mussy Izzet having been added to a missing list that includes Ricardo Scimeca, Lee Morris, Callum Davidson, Ben Thatcher and Peter Canero. But former Gunner Paul Dickov is likely to feature, along with former Tottenham players Freund and Walker. Here's hoping that Arsenal put an early goal or 2 past the latter, to take the pressure off. Too many people in the press have been talking as if we've already gone the season unbeaten. Well, nearly, but there's still 90 minutes to go...

The Premiership trophy will be handed out after the game, and a bit later there will be the final game of the season for Arsenal Ladies, who need a win against Fulham to clinch the double. The West stand will open again for free. Let's hope a few Gooners make it back from the pub.
