The Premier League commissioned the half-sized replica from "posh jewellers" Aspreys. It is made in gold and silver like the proper trophy, but with the metals reversed (i.e. gold body, silver handles). It bears the inscription

The league considered presenting it last weekend at Goodison but decided instead to do it at Highbury, this Sunday before the game against Middlesbrough.

An incidental benefit of this is that Ray Parlour will be able to join his old team-mates when they are presented with it. It'll be a nice opportunity for the Highbury faithful to show their appreciation for such a superb servant to the club. Ray never got a proper send-off because we weren't aware, the last time he played, that he'd be leaving. Hopefully Martin Keown will be there too, but whether or not Kanu and Wiltord can come too is anyone's guess...
