Dennis Bergkamp (back/groin) and Gilberto (ankle) both face late fitness tests after missing the trip to Amsterdam on Tuesday. Neither is very likely to play. Dennis is thought to be more likely to be fit (80-20, says Wenger), but unlike Gilberto he's not a guaranteed starter even if he is fit. That's because Robin van Persie is available again after his UEFA suspension. With him taking back his place from stand-in striker Freddie Ljungberg, one of Freddie, Pires, and Hleb will miss out.
Lehmann also returns having missed the Champs League through suspension. Henry and Senderos are both still injured.
Birmingham have more trouble with injuries. They're definitely missing Muzzy Izzet (Achilles), Martin Taylor (infection) Jiri Jarosik (ankle) and Medhi Nafti (knee) and have serious doubts over Mario Melchiot (knee) and Oliver Tebily (toe). David Dunn has been out since Boxing Day with a long-running hamstring problem, he was treated with surgery on nerves in his back in February, and although he's on his way back he won't be risked against Arsenal. In addition, the midfield will be missing both Nicky Butt and teenager Neil Kilkenny through suspension.
This all leaves moaning git Steve Bruce with, he claims, only 13 fit first team players. Whether he's counting the likes of Mikael Forssell in that number, we don't know. Forssell is said to be lacking match sharpness following a long absence for knee surgery, and Bruce is said to be considering giving new Uruguayan striker Walter Pandiani the chance to stake a claim for a place alongside Emile Heskey. He came off the bench to score against Liverpool in last weekend's 2-2 draw. And let's not forget that 2-2 draw. They may have lots of players missing but this might not be a walkover.
Birmingham bring back ex Gunners Upson and Pennant. I'm not sure that Upson is good enough to deal with Jose and Robin, but we have to be glad that Sol's back to help defend the latter's crosses to Heskey.
Kick-off is at 1.30 tomorrow.
