It's quite heartening to note that Manchester United have decided to follow in Arsenal's footsteps, by launching a free Internet access service. The service is operated in association with UUNET, who also provide Arsenal's web site connectivity (although not the arsenalfc.net ISP facility).
ManUFree.net gives users up to five email addresses, plus 20MB of web space in which to put your pretty pictures of Becks, Posh and Brookside. Access is via an 0845 telephone number, not an 0161 number - which means it's a local call from wherever you call in the country... add your own punchline here. And how ironic it is that they felt obliged to include the word 'free' in the domain name, lest people thought it might be another OT money-machine.
