Sega must be fuming at the number of sponsorship opportunities they are missing at the moment.
Viewers of Eastenders will have seen Barry paying a rather embarrassing visit to girlfriend Natalie's mum's place. Nat's brother had his bedroom decked out in Arsenal press cuttings, posters and the like, and was lounging around the house in an Arsenal shirt. But - just a minute, where was the Dreamcast logo?
Closer inspection revealed a very obvious seam across the nipple area, so we're assuming they took a pair of scissors to the shirt and simply cut out the offending section. Typical bloody BBC.
On similar lines, the newly released 'FA Premier League Stars' game for the Playstation - which features uncannily realistic renditions of the League's stadia and kits - does not include the Dreamcast logo on the Arsenal shirts. The reasoning here is probably much simpler - the game is not being released for the Dreamcast console, and publisher EA Sports has yet to commit to developing games for the machine. (Although that doesn't explain why they've apparently chosen to include the logos in the PC version of the game?) |
