Freddie's been speaking about his desire to help his English teammates
out in Sweden in October, when he hopes to be fit to take part
in the crunch Euro2000 qualifier against Poland.
He's hoping his Arsenal teammates will give him a break (no please, not that sort of break) in training and not go into
tackles too hard. ArseWeb says let's be grateful we've no Poles in our squad or they might have been targeting his dodgy ankle.
Not for England's sake mind you, but so that we don't have to lose him from our squad for too long. We're hopeful that
on the big European stage (which he missed last year because he was signed too late), we might at last see some
of Ljungberg's superb International form coming through in red and white.
See Soccernet for more including theories about why England failed to win in Poland on Wednesday (not including what was obvious
to anyone watching the game: that none of their midfield or
attacking players were really up for it).
