No, it's not about Thierry Henry, although he fully deserves the
plaudits he's been receiving today following his great performance against Derby yesterday.
No, this time I want to point you to a couple of articles
which underline the contrast between the 2 strikers who crossed
over between Highbury and the Bernabeu in the summer.
First there's an excellent article from Saturday's Times, reproduced in the Irish Independent, which tells of Davor Suker,
his life, his character, and his happiness at Highbury. You could tell as soon as he stepped onto the pitch in an Arsenal shirt
that he was made of the right stuff, and there's plenty here
to confirm it. Suker is one goal away from the personal milestone
of 200 goals in club football.
Meanwhile Real Madrid suspect Nicolas Anelka, who cost £20million more than SuperDav,
of feigning injury in his latest attempt to wriggle out of actually earning the huge amount of money he gets paid.
See eg Sporting Life. Also check out Football365's
caption competition, which currently
features Anelka freezing his little hooves off on the Real bench in Kiev.
