A report on the Teamtalk site claims that Arsenal are taking a pro-active approach to the subject of media tie-ups.

We have apparently invited NTL and BSkyB to make presentations to them, about a possible tie-up - following in the footsteps of Villa, Newcastle, ManU, Liverpool, Leeds, Sunderland... etc etc.

It's interesting that Arsenal have made the first move, and would certainly suggest that we would be particularly determined to remain firmly in charge... that would certainly be 'The Highbury Way'.

But if the report is true, not that we would ever cast doubt on the validity of Teamtalk's output - we can't help wondering what has happened to the interest from Carlton and United News & Media, the two groups who previously expressed an interest. Do we know enough about them already, and don't need to hear from them again? Or were they scared off?
