Rumours started first when Morocco boss Henri Michel resigned after they did not qualify for the second round of the African Nations Cup.
Media in Africa reported soon afterwards that the Moroccan Federation wanted Philippe Troussier to come back (he previously coached one First Division side there before he joined Japan in September 1998) even if he had led Japan to the final stages of the Asian Cup to be played next October in Lebanon.
According to AFP Japanese Federation President Mr. Okano denied Troussier will be shown the door soon. A (final?) decision will however be taken by the end of March.
And to make it AW related, he and his mate Troussier are indeed often talking about football in Japan over the phone but reaffirmed he' s quite happy at Arsenal for the time being. And that he still doesn' t want to coach "Les Bleus". |
