| Wenger wins Fair Play Award in Germany |

The federation of German sports journalists (VDS) have awarded Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger their Fair Play Award for 1999. Wenger received the award from German national coach Erich Ribbeck in Cologne Monday night. "Es ist auch eine Ehrung für meine Mannschaft und meinen Verein,"(*) Wenger said, doubtlessly in fluent German, at the ceremony. Wenger got the award after offering Sheffield United an FA Cup replay after a controversial winning goal in January last year. (*) "It's also an honor for my team and my club."
