Arsene Wenger has been charged by the FA for "alleged threatening behaviour and physical
intimidation" to the fourth official, Paul Taylor, in the tunnel after the game at Sunderland last weekend.
Planetfootball reckons he became involved after trying to break up a scuffle between an Arsenal and Sunderland player (unnamed).
Further info (Thursday): Today's Daily Telegraph adds detail to the story, alleging the players involved were Thierry Henry and Darren Williams, while the Evening Standard says Wenger will defend himself against the charge. Their story goes that 4th official Taylor stepped in when Henry confronted Williams (about his cheating to get Vieira sent off), and shoved Henry towards the dressing room. Wenger then intervened to prevent Taylor manhandling Henry. The official statement reads "Arsene is certainly surprised by the charge but is looking forward to providing the FA with a detailed explanation of events at Sunderland".
Arsenal have also apparently formally appealed to the FA over Vieira's red card at Sunderland, and it has been referred to the new FA video review panel, which meets tomorrow (thurs 24). Don't hold your breath though.
