Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein fears that the agreement on a new transfer system in Europe will make it easier for players to leave their clubs. Negotiators from FIFA, UEFA and the EU agreed on a deal yesterday in Brussels. The players' union FIFpro still aren't satisfied with the agreement. Dein said to BBC Five Live: "I believe it will now be easier for a player to leave a club and harder for the club to retain its talented players." "The game needs stability and what we expect is contracts to be maintained by both the players and the clubs. Certainly the clubs always respect their part of the bargain," Dein said. The vice-chairman is not only responsible for Arsenal's transfer dealings, but is also entrusted with high positions in the English FA and UEFA. Dein also made it clear that Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger could be happier with the result of the negotiations. "Arsène has made it very clear that it takes sometimes two to three years to bond a team and one does not want to see the best players leaving after one year," Dein said.
