Barca leave stars at home by Rupe

Barcelona are bringing a disappointingly second-string side to Highbury for Dave Seaman's testimonial tomorrow night.

But that means Petit will be there, and among the more regular players is our other old friend Marc Overmars. It'll be interesting to see what reception the crowd give them, and one can't help wondering if the reaction to Petit could affect both his and Arsene Wenger's decisions about his future.

Big stars that you won't see include de Boer, Guardiola, Rivaldo, Luis Enrique, Cocu, Patrick Kluivert, while Gabri, Xavi and Dani. The last 3 of these are injured, as is rumoured Arsenal target Michael Reiziger. Despite beating Alaves 1-0 at the weekend, the Catalan giants are still only in 5th place in La Liga. They have 3 games left to catch up with Real Mallorca in 4th and secure a place in next season's Champions League. This is of particular interest to us because we believe that if Barca don't qualify for the Champs League, there's a chance of Aresnal sneaking into the top group of seeds for the draw.

Of course, the night is about Seaman, not Barcelona. And even a second string Barca side should provide plenty of entertainment.

See OneFootball for more including a possible Barcelona line-up. There's no indication of Arsenal fielding any guests.

AFCi still list some of the above as being in Barca's squad. But it's not clear when that page was last updated.
