We missed a few chances early on, Henry and Bergkamp being the main culprits. Then Diamonds nearly took the lead a couple of times, Keown blocking one effort and another going inches over the bar. They looked to have been given a penalty too when Luzhny pushed, but an offside was given in our favour instead.

More Arsenal efforts failed, though only through good defending and keeping. Bergkamp and Parlour both forced good saves.

Finally Henry broke the deadlock on 69 minutes with a great 15 yard curling shot from Henry. And Moritz Volz made it safe two minutes from time bursting through from midfield and scoring from 20 yards out. It'll be interesting to see if Volz gets used as back-up for Dixon at all this season.
