Arsenal have two representatives in the uefa.com Team of the Year 2001: Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry. Vieira got over 40 percent of the votes for the central midfield position! Henry was the most popular among Europe's strikers, nudging in front of compatriot David Trezeguet of Juventus, both with almost 20 percent of the votes. More than three million votes were cast in the internet poll, and the full result and 'team news' is here. |
