In the triangular mini-tournament in Austria last night, Arsenal won both their 45-minute games to take the trophy. The first match, against Panathinaikos, was a 1-0 win courtesy of a Wiltord header from Graham Barrett's cross. Arsenal also won the second game, this time 2-1 against AS Roma. Henry put Arsenal ahead early, Batitusta equalised before Aliadiere came off the bench to grab a late winner. New signing Gilberto Silva played both games, receiving good reviews. See Arsenal.com for brief reports on both games. |
