In a widely quoted statement, Dennis Bergkamp joins
the discussion on refereeing consistencies and Arsenal's
bad reputation.
Bergkamp says that the referees are treating Arsenal unfairly
because of the club's reputation for indiscipline.
"I know that for sure," Bergkamp said. "Decisions are going
against us because of it. If the men who make those decisions
know about the reputation before the game then it can count
against us.
"Some free-kicks given against us are difficult to understand.
We have players booked, and sometimes it's hard to understand why."
