Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein and manager
Arsène Wenger have both spoken out against the
disciplinary system in English football.
"...maybe five bookings is too short a time before
suspension is imposed," Dein said. "Maybe it should
be six or seven bookings and therefore a longer time
before a player is suspended."
"There is no consistency in English football," Wenger
claimed. "You never know when you will get a yellow
card and sometimes people get away with amazing things,
then get a red for something small."
