Regarding the problems at Brussels airport we warned about in
the previous item,
Virgin have now confirmed that the firefighters strike is
now over and things are expected to be back to something like
normal in the (Wednesday) morning.
Of course, there may well be additional delays because of the
disruption to today's schedule. But Virgin have apparently said
that
1 - If Brussels is operating OK in the morning they will fly from Gatwick with only a small delay and will ensure that we do not miss the connection to Copenhagen..
or...
2 - If Brussels is closed they will fly us to Copenhagen direct from Gatwick a little later in the morning.
Whatever happens they are doing their best to get us there ! But
if you're unhappy with the above, it might be worth trying flight options on 0207 976 5600. They apparently still have flights from
Gatwick Stansted and Luton priced £265. You should be able to get a refund from Virgin.
