The UEFA site has this page "explaining" the new
format for the "Champions" league. I'll try to summarise it on the
champs league page once I've taken it all in.
They also have a page showing the teams, both definite
and provisional, that'll be entering the various competitions at
the various stages.
Amongst other intersting things hidden away in these pages:
- matches could be on Tuesdays or Wednesdays
- they have now decided (quite rightly) that the quarters and semis will be
played over two legs as before
- if we finish third in our (first) group, we transfer to the
last 32 of the UEFA cup
