Arsenal's opponents in Wednesday's decisive UEFA Champions League tie, German champions Bayern Munich, finally won a game Saturday afternoon.

After 2-0 over struggling Energie Cottbus, they climbed back on top of the Bundesliga. Mehmet Scholl and influential Stefan Effenberg scored for Bayern.

Effenberg is suspended for the final group match against Arsenal in the Olympiastadion on Wednesday.
