Oleg Luzhny has been given a 4 match ban by UEFA,
following his sending off in the last phase 1
match away to Schalke.
He will miss the first 4 matches of the second phase,
away to Deportivo La Coruña, at home to Juventus, and both matches
against Bayer Levekusen.
4 matches is a long suspension, but the action by the
"real Christian" which
prompted the red card probably warrants it. Let's
just be grateful it wasn't anyone more likely to be
used in those matches, and hope that the squad doesn't
turn out to be
so decimated by injuries that Luzhny would have featured
in Wenger's plans.
