At the back we're missing both Campell and Cygan for the crunch match at home to Bayern Munich tomorrow night. So it's another big test for Phillipe Senderos alongside Kolo Toure at the back. Lauren will presumably return to the starting line-up at right back and Cole on the left. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Cole/Clichy combination in action at some point, but Pires is fit so may well start in front of Cole, and if it's decided to leave him on the bench to start with then Reyes may get the nod.
Bergkamp should be back after a nice rest, alongside Henry, with Vieira Freddie and probably Flamini completing the midfield (although it's possible that Edu will be available following a late fitness test). Goals are crucial and with van Persie, Quincy, Aliadiere and one of Pires or Reyes on the bench Wenger will have plenty of substitution options. We just need to hope that the defence holds up because conceding a goal would leave us a real mountain to climb. 3-1 looks bad on paper anyway, but if we score first then all the pressure will be on the visitors.
Bayern are missing Roy Makaay through injury, but make up for it with the return of Michael Ballack who missed the first leg with a thigh injury. Bixente Lizarazu is struggling with an injury, so Hasan Salihamidzic may step back from midfield into the full-back slot.

Sorry for accidentally bringing the game forward by 24 hours in the original version of this preview! Only excuse is that I had a long weekend (but obviously not as long as I thought).

update: Edu has a fresh problem. He's recovered from his hamstring injury but has now suffered a minor knee injury in training today. He'll be given a fitness test tomorrow morning following a scan. Pires trained today and they're going to see how his ankle responds. Stuart Taylor will be on the bench against Bayern after Almunia injured his groin. Also, note that Eboue is not eligible and Aliadiere is named in Tuesday's reserve squad so unlikely to play on Wednesday.
And a positive thought: Arsenal have never failed to score twice against German opposition at Highbury.
