Arsenal are without long-term injury victims Abou Diaby, Lauren and Pascal Cygan, as well as Emmanuel Adebayor who is cup-tied.
Dennis Bergkamp has travelled to Paris, for what would be his final game for the Gunners, but there must only be a small chance of his being used, with Robin van Persie and either Robert Pires or Freddie Ljungberg also being available for the bench.
Arsene Wenger has three big decisions to make. First, whether to use Bobby or Freddie in midfield (assuming that is that the places of Jose Antonio Reyes, Gilberto, Cesc Fabregas, and Alexander Hleb are secure. Actually, that's pretty much the flip of a coin. The more critical and difficult choices are in defence.
Mathieu Flamini is available again, but most people (me included) are assuming that Ashley Cole has done enough to prove his fitness, and despite Matty's superb form at left back he's still not the player that Cole is. Great cover to have on the bench though, for Cole or one of the central midfielders.
In central defence, Philippe Senderos is also fit, and Sol Campbell hasn't looked solid enough since his return for his experience to guarantee him a place. Wenger has shown that he's prepared to make this decision - in last year's FA Cup final - so it's likely to come down to how sure he is of Big Phil's fitness.
Barcelona have taken their full squad to Paris, including Messi. But Messi hasn't played for ages and will probably just be on the bench for starters. Xavi is likely to be back though, he was one of just 2 regulars to play their league match against Sevilla at the weekend, and came through 90 minutes unscathed.
The Norwegian linesman who stupidly allowed himself to be photographed with a Barca top on the other day, has been replaced by UEFA.
Right, it's 5.45 am and I've got to shoot off to get my lift to Paris. Good luck to all travelling Gunners, especially those on the pitch.
