Arsenal are resting both Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp in today's big match at Old Trafford. Instead he'll start with a strikeforce of Wiltord and Jeffers. Henry will be on the bench but Bergkamp didn't even travel to Manchester.

Wenger insists that he wants to win this one, but clearly is concerned about the number of games his stars are playing, and has an eye on the Champions League game on Tuesday. Given that Dennis hasn't even travelled, we have to assume that there is a doubt over his fitness.

But before anyone talks about "devaluing" the game, let's not forget that Jeffers' form has been good of late and his confidence is sky-high having scored on his international debut on Wednesday. And let's not forget who scored the championship-winner at Old Trafford last season.

No other great surprises for Arsenal. Edu takes Gilberto's place alongside Vieira, and Parlour is on the right of midfield. No starting place for Gio van Bronckhorst (some reports suggested that Cole was going to be rested, and Gio must have been a strong candidate for a midfield slot too).

We didn't report the Giggs "injury" which kept him out of this week's Wales game, and which Alex Ferguson said was possibly going to keep him out of the Arsenal game, because we didn't believe it. Giggs starts.

But Veron, who did play for Argentina against Holland (whose winner was scored by our Gio), broke his toe (some Dutch bloke trod on it) and is out for a few weeks.

Fabien Barthez starts having missed the last couple with a leg injury. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer starts in midfield.

If the match is a draw, the replay will be on Wednesday March 5th. This is just a few days before the next round, but given the Champions League midweek games coming up, there's no alternative.
