One well documented report on the much-publicized signing of young Jérémie Aliadière last month is available here. French magazine France Football today revealed Arsenal French scout Damien Augier-Comolli spotted him one year ago and reported of him to Monsieur le Boss who watched him play for the u-15 France team against Germany last summer. INF Vichy Director Mr. Claude Dussot said of him he is a new Van Basten when Arsène foresee the lad to be a first-team player in 2002.
He and parents finally chose Arsenal ahead of French club Stade Rennais after a two-day visit at London Colney where they met AW, Liam Brady and David Dein. The deal is worth FF 13million to be added to some Arsenal replica shirts the Club gave him as he is reputed to be a Gooner for years! |
