The team doctor of the Swedish national side, one Magnus Forssblad, is fuming at Arsenal's decision to give Freddie Ljungberg a tetanus shot before sending him back home to face Turkey at the weekend.
The Arsenal players were all given a routine shot after the ManU game on Sunday afternoon, with Ljungberg reportedly suffering a negative reaction - which caused a swelling in his arm and pushed his temperature up to 39.5'C (over 100'F), forcing him to miss two days of training.
'It was completely unnecessary,' said Dr Forssblad. 'Fredrik has suffered a reaction because he was already well protected against tetanus.' That's another nail in the coffin of the NHS, then.
